Lizzy Wright is now Chief of the largest mercenary force in Sector Two – a job she can’t walk away from without risking a bullet in her back…
It’s not even as if she’s qualified for the job of Leader of the Peace and Prosperity Corps – more a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong surname, and now she feels the job is twisting her into someone she no longer likes.
The situation comes to a head when her psychotic brother – busy expanding his piracy operations – causes chaos throughout Sector Two. Forced to go undercover in a disguise which bites back, and in the company of a speed-enhanced oddball with a price on his head, Lizzie must contend with corruption, betrayal, and murder. Not to mention highly territorial aliens with their own agenda…
For fans who enjoy Lois McMaster Bujold and Elizabeth Moon.
Arethosemyfeet – Characters feel real; setting a little sketchy

I enjoyed this trilogy very much. The main characters, Lizzy in particular, are complex and feel very real. Good people in this setting do horrible things for reasons that seem right to them. And then they have to live with the consequences. In some ways I like that the narrator’s perspective is limited and she is underinformed about the universe she inhabits, but there are times when elements of setting or plot feel like they’ve been conjured for narrative convenience rather than being part of a working universe that exists beyond the stories. I also like that the universe in these books is pretty awful without being obviously dystopian or driven by Big Evil; it’s simply the social consequences of the same drives for power, and responses to perceived threats, as we see in the modern world but transposed to the galactic scale.

Want a read so engrossing you can’t put it down?grab this one.A world so well constructed you feel as if you’ve been there, characters you’ve known for years and a storyline that grabs you from page one.All the plots and subplots lead you forward to a conclusion you were not expecting. If you thought one and two were good your in for a real treat with this one.As an added bonus the Author assures me there’s more to come can’t wait.
I received this book as an ARC from the Author this is my honest voluntary review Baz

I have read the previous two books, and they are awesome. Book #3 didn’t disappoint either. Looking forward to the next book of the series as the adventure continues.
