In this week’s Tuesday Treasures, I’ve some photos of our walk on the beach on Saturday morning when the younger grandchildren were staying. We had to go reasonably early as Himself needed to go to bed by 11 am so he got sufficient sleep for his late shift. And it was perishing! However, everyone enjoyed getting out for a breath of fresh – if freezing – air…

It looks so cold! Good thing the kids are bundled up:-)
Oh it was bitter – at least there wasn’t a wind – but it was around 44 degrees F. Brrr…
LOVE these close-up views!
Thank you, Rae:). It was bitterly cold though!
Ugh!
It does look cold and windy, granted, but the smell of sea air is more than worth a shiver or two! 😉
Oh yes – we all enjoyed being down there and agreed that it was worth going:)). It certainly blew the cobwebs away!
My gosh she’s cute. I also love seeing the seaside.
Oh, she’s adorable. I love it at this age, when every walk is an adventure in discovery. And she’s lucky to have such a lovely brother, too. He was very concerned that she didn’t fall over on the icy planking of the pier…
Ooh, nice fun day by the water. Looks freezing though!
It was bitterly cold – no wind, but that biting cold that numbs fingers and ears and makes your nose run… However we all enjoyed getting out for a while and the beach is one of our favourite places, particularly at this time of year.
Looks so cold but like a fun day. Last winter I really came to appreciate the beach on a grey winter day. It’s a lot of fun to run around in the cold but definitely good to get home and clean and dry and most of all warm! Hope Himself got enough sleep afterwards!
Thank you, Katherine:)). Himself is awesomely good at getting sleep at all times of the night and day. Given that he’s been working shifts now for over 20 years – it’s just as well!
It looks beautiful but oh so cold. Glad everyone’s all bundled up. 🙂
Yes, it was very nippy! We weren’t out there too long, but it was a treat to get some fresh air.
Looks quite cold, but also like a nice day for you all 🙂
Thank you, Silvia – it was bitter, but lovely to get out of the house:)).
Glad you could get out and enjoy the fresh air. It does look cold though!
Thank you, Kimberly. I won’t lie – it was certainly on the nippy side!
What great pictures, Sarah! So glad you could get out and enjoy the beach and fresh air!
Thank you, Jan – I’m always very aware that we are incredibly lucky to be a ten minute drive away from the beach…
It does look cold, but then I don’t think children really mind it when they’re wrapped up with other fascinating things.
Lynn 😀
