In this week’s Tuesday Treasures, I’ve taken a series of photos from last Thursday, when we went for a walk along Littlehampton beach. The grandchildren were with us and it was a beautiful sunny afternoon without a breath of wind. It was amazingly mild for the time of year, so I could dawdle on the shingle, soaking up the sun and watching the boys tussle down by the sea. They both returned with wet shoes, but that was okay. I got them dry before they went home the following day. A drop of golden happiness in the middle of the gloomiest of gloomy winters…

I feel peaceful just looking at these photos😁
Thank you! It was a wonderful hour we spent down there and everyone was more chilled and happy once we returned.
There is always something magical in a beach during the winter: I don’t know what it is, but your pictures caught it perfectly 🙂
Thank you, Maddalena. I think it’s the light… that rich, buttery glow suffusing the sky and glittering off the sea. It was glorious – and really warm.
Loved the originals loved the close ups even more.
Thank you! It was the most wonderful day – and though we are back in Lockdown and I don’t go out much, taking the children to the beach was a priority…
I love winter sunshine. There’s something so crisp and clear about a sunny winter day. Thanks for sharing.
Lynn 😀
You’re welcome! It’s mainly the only time I go out, these days… And I’m very conscious how lucky we are to live so close to the beach. Taking the children there on such a lovely day worked really well.
A winter of shells and sunlight…beautiful!
Thank you, Jean:))).
