Christmas Quiz 2018 – #BrainfluffChristmasQuiz2018

Standard

When Gran was alive, during our family gatherings we used to play Christmas games. Gran particularly loved general knowledge quizzes, but with 5 generations ranging from the late nineties down to a three year old, it posed something of a challenge. So each year I devised multiple choice questions and everyone played in pairs, which gave even the youngest a chance of answering correctly. Gran is no longer with us, but if you happen to gather in a multi-generational mash-up to celebrate Christmas perhaps this will pass some time between opening presents and tucking into the seasonal feast.

Many thanks for your support and company throughout the year – I hope you have a lovely holiday, whatever your beliefs and whoever you are celebrating with.

  1. Hey, 13 out of 17! That’s not too bad. 🙂 Some of them were guesses, tbh. I had no idea where egg nog came from! Or that Queen Victoria was the first British monarch to have a Christmas tree!

    • Thank you, Suzanne:). I’m glad you found the quiz enjoyable and thank you for your good wishes. I was lucky to have such a lovely Christmas and hope that 2019 is a happy, successful year for you:)

  2. I wanted to comment on the previous posts, but just could NOT resist jumping ahead to this one! 🙂

What a GREAT idea, making up Christmas quizzes that several family members from different generations could participate in! LOVE IT!! And this one was FANTASTIC!!

So of course I took the quiz, and got five wrong answers. Yeah, I need to brush up a bit on my knowledge of Christmas trivia. Lol.

Thanks for sharing this!! It was SO much FUN!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! According to Google, 2019 has already arrived, in Merry Old England!! CHEERS!!! ❤ ❤ ❤ 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Thank you so much, Maria – I’m delighted you enjoyed the quiz. The nice thing about trivia quizzes is that if you don’t do very well (I got absolutely hammered last night by my sister and husband on a game called Nostalgia) you just shrug your shoulders and remind yourself that it is ONLY trivia:)).

I hope that you, too, have a happy, peaceful 2019, Maria.xxx
