Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine.
This week’s Can’t-Wait offering – Soulbinder – Book 4 of the Spellslinger series by Sebastien de Castell
#fantasy #magic #feisty pet/travelling companion #humour
The fourth book in the page-turning SPELLSLINGER fantasy series.
Perfect for fans of The Dark Tower, Firefly, Guardians of the Galaxy, Terry Pratchett, Ben Aaronovitch and Jim Butcher.
That’s as much as the blurb says, which is a pleasant change from all those blurting efforts that give away far too much of the story. And I think it says it all… I have only read the first two books, but have promised myself a treat – and it’s going to be the these two books to continue this entertaining series that I’ve loved to date.
Not long to wait for it.👍 The third book is really good, enjoy.📚
I’m so behind! I’m going to read book 2 soon, but wow, these UK covers are so wonderful!
Yes – I really like the UK covers for this one! And I am just about to get stuck into Charmcaster:))
This one does sound good, and I love that cover. It’s the best to have a series to love.
My CWW post
Yes! And I’ve now got my hands on the third book, so am looking forward to tucking into it before I get hold of Soulbinder:)
I’ve been hearing so much about this series lately that I’m now convinced I need to start it. The covers are so cool as well!
Oh it’s so much fun! I hope to get around to the third one sometime this week:)
This series is new to me, hope you enjoy 3 & 4! 🙂
I’ve got Charmcaster and am looking forward to reading it in the next week:)
This series sounds so good and I love the covers! Enjoy! 🙂
Thank you Ashley – yes, I’ve loved the series so far and am looking forward to catching up during the week.
Enjoy your treat, Sarah:)
Now that I’m all caught up with this series, I can look forward to this one too! My review of book three is actually going live tomorrow, I’m loving the adventures of Kellen, Ferius, and Reichis!
They are so much fun, aren’t they? I shall be reading Charmcaster in the coming week, so I’ll look forward to hearing what you have to say about it, Mogsy:)
I still need to start this series, but I keep hearing great things about it so I will be getting to it as soon as possible.
It is great fun – the narrative is both amusing and gripping with a lovely twisty plot and some really entertaining characters. I love that squirrel cat:))
I’m hoping to pick up 3 very soon followed closely by this one.
Lynn 😀
You and me, both:))
Intriguing and I definitely like a shorter blurb. I hate when they either give too much away or make a book sound like it’s about something it’s not. I really like the playing card look of the cover.
And the playing cards feature in the story – the magic systems are quite different and quirky. I’m thoroughly enjoying the third book, Katherine.
I love that cover, and this sounds good too! I agree with your about the shorter blurbs. It’s a nice change. So many give away the entire book these days. 😦
You’re right – they do! I’ve more or less given up reading blurbs as most of them contain far too many spoilers.
It’s just AMAZING how fast writers put out series sequels these days! I featured the first book in a previous CWW, some time back, and here’s the FOURTH book already!! Gotta rev up those reading engines! Lol.
So of course I’m adding this one to my Goodreads shelves, as well as books 2 and 3! Thanks for putting this one on my radar! 🙂
Thanks for sharing, as well as for commenting on my own CWW post!! (Sorry for the late comment back….) CHEERS!! ❤ 🙂
No worries, Maria – as you can tell I’m horribly behind with my comments. I’m now busy reading Charmcaster and thoroughly enjoying it:)).
