Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by The Purple Booker.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This is my choice of the day:
Queen of Chaos – Book 3 of the Sequoyah series by Sabrina Chase
67% “This isn’t the main entrance. You need to go back out and down about half a klick,” a voice said on the intercom.
“I can’t—I’m out of air. Look, I’m real sorry but it’s only my second day on the job and the foreman sent me to the ridge to do some system checks and I got the craters mixed up. I can’t get back.” Enver had seen a fairly large installation near this crater, so that seemed reasonable. He hoped they wouldn’t be suspicious and ask questions he couldn’t answer, like the name of the company that ran it.
BLURB: The exciting conclusion to the Sequoyah trilogy.
Back into space – and how’s that for a short, snappy blurb? This trilogy runs straight from one book to the other and really needs to be read in order. And it’s definitely worth it. Action-packed, with an interesting premise and very well written. I will be reading more of Chase’s work, that’s for sure…
I don’t know what that creature on the cover is, but I definitely need to find out!
It is an excellent series – and as she is an indie writer, the books are very good value.
Look at that cover – it’s excellent!
Lynn 😀
It is so much fun, isn’t it? And the books are so very entertaining…
This does sound like a good series. My Tuesday Teaser is from a beautifully written novel, Distant Hours by Kate Morris: “I climbed carefully up and up, past a row of patient urns on silent plinths, past a pair of stone deer facing off across neglected hedges, until I finally reached the last step and the ground flattened.A pleached alley of gnarled fruit trees racked before me, drawing me onwards. It was if the garden had a plan, I remember thinking…as if there were an order, as if it had been waiting for me, refusing to leave me lost, conspiring instead to deliver me to the castle.” Isn’t the wording amazing?
You’re right, Rae:). What a lovely passage – I hope you are really enjoying this one, though I cannot see why you wouldn’t! Have a great week and I hope the rain has eased up.
Not my usual read, but now I’m curious. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
You’re very welcome, Laurel – have a great week:)
Sounds interesting. Wondering why he wants to get in that particular place. Glad you’re enjoying the books. My Teaser
This is gathering the action towards the very dramatic climax and I LOVED this one – I’ll be reviewing it in due course.
Well, that sure pulled me right into the story. And that sure is an excellent cover.
I think you’d love this one, Laura:)
Ooh that is intriguing – it actually makes me want to find out what’s going on! And that cover – amazing! 😀
It’s a great story, but whatever you do – start with the first book.
I like your Teaser, even though I don’t read much sci-fi. I’m wondering what happens next.
My Tuesday post features a family saga: Miller’s Valley.
Yes… this is a really gripping story – I shall be sorry to get to the end. Thank you for swinging by:)
Yep, that is a snappy blurb.

She certainly isn’t giving away any major plotpoints, is she? Thank you for swinging by:)
Sounds good. I’ll have to add the series to my wishlist. Today I have Murder in Bloomsbury by D. M. Quincy. Happy reading!
Oh, it’s a great space opera series, Kathy, I highly recommend it.
Great teaser! I really want to know what he’s up to now, lol.
Thank you! Yes, there was plenty of tension building – I really enjoyed this adventure:)
