Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books and a Beat.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This is my choice of the day:
The Many Selves of Katherine North by Emma Geen
45%: Readjusting to a human colour palette after a week of being a snake means that I’m finding instances of the forgotten colours everywhere. Rubbing my eyes doesn’t help, though alternating the shower between cold and hot at least makes me feel a little more real.
BLURB: Kit has been projecting into other species for seven years. Longer than anyone else at ShenCorp. Longer than any of the scientists thought possible. But lately she has the feeling that when she jumps she isn’t alone… Since she was twelve, Kit has been a phenomenaut, her consciousness projected into the bodies of lab-grown animals for the purpose of research. Kit experiences a multitude of other lives – fighting and fleeing, predator and prey – always hoping, but never quite believing, that her work will help humans better understand the other species living alongside them. But after a jump as an urban fox ends in disaster, Kit begins to suspect that those she has trusted for her entire working life may be out to cause her harm. And, as she delves deeper into the events of that night, her world begins to shift in ways she had never thought possible.
This YA sci fi Netgalley offering is a blast – the writing is a real exploration of how to write about senses we don’t have and Geen’s depiction is extraordinary. I’ll be reviewing it in due course…
This one sounds fascinating, I’ll definitely check it out 🙂
Thanks for sharing and here’s my TT!
Thank you for swinging by, Silvia and I enjoyed visiting your TT!
Loved the teaser! Not heard of this one but it sounds really interesting, might look it out 🙂
It isn’t out yet – it comes out in June. But it will definitely be worth a read.
Oh wow, this sounds unique. And the title and cover grab you right away. I will be checking this out:)
My Teaser Tuesday
Dang, have to wait until summer.
The Loft sounds a really intriguing book – hope you enjoy it and thank you for visiting.
This title and author are new to me. I will have to be on the lookout for it when it is released. My YA teaser this week is from The Girl in the Tower by Lisa Schroeder. Happy reading!
Sounds interesting. I look forward to your review. 🙂
Thank you for checking out this week’s teaser, Joanne. I’ll be posting my review just before the launch date, but so far am really enjoying the writing.
This sounds really fascinating. I hadn’t heard of this one before. I look forward to reading your review of it.
Thank you, Wendy. I’ll be reviewing it in June, when it is due to be released.
It definitely sounds like a unique idea for a story. Can’t wait to see what you think about it.
Thank you for dropping in – I’ll definitely be reviewing this one:)
Ooh interesting teaser! Thanks for visiting my post!

I love your TT:). I’m going to see if I can track down Vicious – I take it that is the first book in the series?
Nope! Vicious is a separate series, A Darker Shade Of Magic is book #1 in the Shades Of Magic series and book two just came out last month, so I’m a bit behind! I see how the quote on the cover would throw you though 🙂 They’re quite difficult to keep straight!
I’ll definitely be tracking this one down – it sounds right up my street. Thank for sharing such a cracking book!
HAHA! Totally NOT what I was expecting when you said your TT was for a sci-fi with “an amazingly sensual style”! THIS I would probably want to read … what I had in my head? Probably not 😉
Oh nooo… now I’m thinking I was touting the book as hot sex in space! Which – as you can see, it isn’t:)
Thanks for visiting my blog. Your teaser sounds interesting. I tend to be drawn to shapeshifters!
This is a remarkable book with a real sci fi spin on the shapeshifting ability, which I’m really enjoying.
Wow, sounds really interesting. Looking forward to your review of this one.
Thank you for visiting:). I’ve now finished reading the book and really enjoyed it.
